Shimano built the Beastmaster 10000 XB, which is the upgrade of the XTA/XSA models.
This particular bike is really a great bargain, as it comes at an affordable price and features many Shimano technologies that ensure performance and reliability.
The 10000 size has a capacity of 400 m on 0.35 mm line, which is more than enough for friends of Carp and Surf Casting techniques who want long casts and high capacity.
The operation of the Shimano Beastmaster 10000XB’s brakes is perfectly smooth. Its operation is supported by 1+1 A-RB bearing. The Shift Ratio is exactly at the levels required for this technique (5.6:1) and is perfectly combined with 1 meter recovery per rotation.
Shimano didn’t neglect the aesthetics of the Beastmaster and gave it a matte black color with grey accents. Black is the colour of choice for most anglers and blends visually with most rods.

Shimano Technologies
XT-7 body: it’s a Shimano exclusive graphite material, which is lightweight, corrosion resistant and very strong.
The Instant Drag brake system allows you to adjust the mechanism’s brakes from the free position to a fighting position with a minimum of rotation of the butterfly. It is a very important feature as even a few seconds can make the difference in nailing a prey.
Super Slow Oscillation Reduces the speed at which the bobbin unwinds from the bobbin during the shot and this results in less friction and improves distance and accuracy of the shot. How is this achieved and what does it mean (see video)? The Super Slow Oscillation of the bobbin during recovery means that more mesinese coils are wound at a much shorter distance from each other. Each complete cycle of the gears of a Standard Oscillating Mechanism performs 20 windings. Shimano’s Slow Oscillation performs 40 wraps. The Super Slow Oscillation makes between 55 and 105 revolutions of the measuring machine around the bobbin. Therefore, when shooting, more of the messina unwinds from the same height of the bobbin rather than moving up and down. This translates into less resistance friction, thus easier and longer shots.
Cold Forging technology gives the mechanism the tough character and performance that inshore fishing enthusiasts demand. The construction of mechanical parts of the mechanism, which are based on Cold Hammering technology, have a high resistance to wear and the forces exerted on them.
After thousands of tests, drops and computer simulations, it has been confirmed that the new AR-C reel provides the longest drop distances of any common reel. The design of the bobbin with a V-shaped lip results in the bobbin unwinding into smaller coils, resulting in less wear on the first ring and longer shots with greater accuracy.
Shimano’s half-inch distribution is a benchmark for the category. The Aero Wrap technology isometrically distributes the crescent in dense, parallel coils so that it wraps and unwinds smoothly and frictionlessly from the bobbin to achieve long shots with precision. With the Aero Wrap II technology Shimano improves this technology even further.
