The new AERLEX has been improved and gives you features you will appreciate in your fishing.
The mechanism comes with an ARC Spool shotgun that will help you in your shots.
A bearing has been added to the central gear that helps the smooth and now smoothest rolling of the mechanism that in combination with the aluminum frame gives you the power required for a large load.
Like all Shimano long casters, the Aerlex includes the AERO WRAP II technology which allows for excellent winding of the crescent on the bobbin, a feature that is particularly useful for your long casts and the distance they will cover.
The mechanism has a maximum pulling force of 15kg and picks up 100cm in a full crank turn.
An honest mechanism that does what it promises with the Shimano warranty.

Shimano Technologies
AR-C Spool – The patented V-shaped rim design of the spool results in the half-spool unwinding into smaller coils, resulting in longer and more accurate casts.
Super Stopper 2 – If you place the mechanism switch in the reverse position, you will see zero crank movement. Flawless at all times in its practical functions, micro-adjustments for quiver noses or for using buzzers are included.
Dyna Balance – Increases softness and balance while at the same time can take the loads transferred by the internal parts of the mechanism.
Power Roller – The special design of Shimano’s Power Roller dramatically reduces the twisting of the crescent during use, an important advantage when using fine crescents or thread.
2 Speed Oscilation – Shimano’s two-speed rotation technology is an innovative way of distributing the half-spin on the reel during the reeling process. The rotor rotates forwards at high speed and backwards at a lower speed, so that the distribution of the crescent during winding is smooth, without double threads.
Aero Wrap II – The way Shimano’s half-nose is distributed is a benchmark for the class. The Aero Wrap technology isometrically distributes the crescent in dense, parallel coils so that it wraps and unwinds smoothly and frictionlessly from the bobbin to achieve long shots with precision. With the Aero Wrap II technology Shimano improves this technology even further.
Instant Drag – A secondary, more powerful brake system, activated by turning the front brake lever.
XT7 – A reliable, robust and lightweight material with which Shimano manufactures the majority of its mechanisms.
